Fillers can be divided into three in the form of temporary, long-term and permanent substances. Among temporary fillings, the most common are fillings containing “hyaluronic acid”. Duration of persistence varies between 6 months and 2 years.
Long-term fillers include those containing calcium hydroxyapatite (Radiesse) and poly-L-lactic acid (Sculptra). The permanence of such fillings is around 2 years.
Permanent fillers include plastic (Bioalcamid), methyl methacrylate (Artecoll) and liquid silicone. There is no melting in these fillings. However, they are not recommended because they contain high risk.
